To Dream Again
by Toby Hulse
What happens to Demetrius and Helena at the end of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, when the magic and love potions fade? In this modern take, Sophie’s parents, Helena and Demetrius, can barely be in the same room anymore. Sophie is sure that if she can take them back to the beginning of their story that will fix their marriage and they can be a happy family again. Full of twists and turns, To Dream Again tells the poignant story of a girl coming to terms with her parents’ divorce.
"Sophie is about to become part of a broken family, and this gives the play a melancholy truthfulness that’s painfully honest. This is no fairytale. This is real life” ~ The Guardian, UK
"Hulse’s concept feels striking and fresh" ~ The Guardian, UK
