by Charles Way
Composed by Chad Henry
Orchestrations by David Duvall
This musical retelling of the classic tale follows a spirited Princess Briar Rose, as two magical sisters, Branwen and Modron, vie for her life. Branwen gives her to the King and Queen, but Modron vows no one shall have her. On Briar Rose's sixteenth birthday, Modron casts a hundred-year sleep hex, only to be broken by true love's kiss. Branwen sends her a creature-companion, Gryff, to protect her. Alas, only Prince Owain, her friend, can save her when she falls prey to the curse. His task? To conquer the Spider King and magical fairies - and to vanquish Modron.
