Bio
John Engerman began composing for musical theatre back in 1975, co-writing Ronnie Bwana - Jungle Guide (with Phil Shallat) for The Empty Space. Since then he has been writing, arranging and music directing for both full-scale musicals and cabaret shows. Highlights include The Ballad of Mary Reade at The Bathhouse Theatre, The Day They Came from Way Out There at The Empty Space, The Fabulous Sateens, and The Sirens Of Swing, which originated at the Cabaret de Paris. In the late 1970s he did sound and music design for many shows at the original Seattle Children's Theatre at the zoo. He has also written and performed numerous cabaret shows with his lovely wife, Jayne Muirhead (Cutwater).
