The Cricket in Times Square
Mario and his parents are struggling to earn a living with their Grand Central Station newsstand. When Mario saves a lost country cricket (who happens to have an ear for opera), he has found a true friend. But he has to convince his skeptical mother that the cricket is more than ‘just a bug’. This brassy mash-up of vintage Broadway pizzazz, Italian Opera, Chinese Opera and comic cat-and-mouse is full of fun!
