One Dark Night
by Mike Kenny
One Dark Night is the story of a lonely child and his friend: a cheeky, mischievous shadow. The adventure really begins at bedtime when the shadow disappears as mum turns off the lamp. The night, the stars and the moon may know where it is hiding. Through object and shadow puppetry the play illuminates a small child’s big journey from fear to confidence; from standing alone in the playground at a new school to having the confidence to play with someone; from being afraid of the dark to being comfortable without the light.
