Treasure Island has principal characters of 13 men and 1 woman, plus a chorus. With doubling, the show needs a minimum of 10 men and 3 women.

  • TOM MORGAN, deck hand, an old pirate
  • GEORGE MERRY, gunner, a pirate (may double with PEW)

  • SAMUEL ARROW, first mate

David Mallamud

Composer David Mallamud is an Emmy-nominee, a MacDowell, Dramatist Guild, and Leonard Bernstein Fellow (Tanglewood). Among other projects, he's currently working on a musical with Craig Lucas, and several projects with Nathan Christensen, including a musical for the Northern Sky Theater, and a recording of their musical Off on a Comet with Kelli O'Hara, Santino Fontana, Heidi Blickenstaff, Natalie Weiss, Aaron Finlay, Jeff Kready, and Jason Gotay. Recent projects nclude: Dr. Seuss' The Sneetches: The Musical (written with Playwright Philip Dawkins) for CTC; orchestrations, arrangements, and additional music for Mike Mills' (of REM) Concerto for Violin, Rock Band, and Orchestra, and A Night of Georgia Music (PBS, Emmy Award for best long-form entertainment); R.E.M. Joshua H. Cohen

Joshua H. Cohen’s honors include a Jonathan Larson Grant, the Anna Zornio Children’s Theatre Playwriting Award (lyrics, Keep On Walkin’), and a MAC Award nomination for his cult cabaret hit “The Sacrifice of Love” (a.k.a. the waxing song). Productions include play The Thirteenth Commandment (Libra Theater, 7 NY Innovative Theater Award nominations, 2 wins; publication, Next Stage Press), musical Tamar of the River (Prospect Theatre, 2 Drama Desk nominations, world premiere recording from Yellow Sound Label), and children’s musical Flight School (Vital Theatre, OCR, national/international tour). The Findings Cycle, a series of ten-minute plays inspired by recent scientific studies, has been accumulating productions around the country and across the pond.
