Great Expectations
Written by Barbara Field
Based on the story by Charles Dickens
Follow the story of young Pip, who lives with his cruel sister and kind brother-in-law. After a strange encounter with an escaped convict, Pip is forced into thievery and later becomes involved with a half-mad wealthy woman and her ward, Estella. Despite wanting to become a gentleman for Estella, Pip soon learns that having expectations can be a double-edged sword.
"Field’s adaptation expertly preserves the crucial story points while cleverly infusing the dialogue with welcome humor." ~ Backstage West
