Hope the Rhino
Adapted for the stage by Moira Katz
Based on the book The Horn of Africa by 12-year-old author Taskeen Waddee
Hope, the rhino calf, is exploring the land with his mother when suddenly, they’re attacked by poachers. Twelve-year-old author Taskeen describes imaginatively the rhino calf’s journey through the harsh environment, using its horn as a survival tool. Is there hope to save the white rhino from extinction? The story, performed with a mix of English and Zulu, creates awareness around animal conservation, environmental protection and delivers hope for the future.
"Taskeen’s book is worth keeping in all libraries to inspire children around the world to write and create awareness about animal conservation. There is hope for the future!” –B Sharp Entertainment
