PlayKit | The Princess and the Pea

Written by Barbara Field
Based on the story by Hans Christian Andersen

The prince has searched the world for a true princess but no one seems quite right. Discouraged and weary, he returns home empty-handed… until a mysterious young woman appears at the castle gates on a stormy night. The queen, ever skeptical, devises a secret test: a single pea hidden beneath twenty mattresses. If the girl can feel it, she must be a real princess. What follows is a whimsical tale of identity, sensitivity, and a happily-ever-after that’s anything but ordinary.
