It’s the year 2033 and the first manned rocket is heading to Mars to prepare for human colonization of the red planet. Eloise’s Aunt Helen is selected to participate in the three-year mission. Eloise’s mother looks on with mixed feelings towards the sister’s risky journey, but Eloise is fascinated and proud, convinced of the need and the happy outcome of the mission.

Over millions of kilometers, they keep in touch via Skype and video messages – news from Earth, from Eloise’s school life and everyday life at home, in exchange for information about life in space to bridge the long period of separation. But the illusion of closeness dies with the touch of the screen. After two and a half years, the “Infinity” is already on its way back to earth, suddenly unexpected complications occur. Will Helen be able to fulfill her promise of a happy return home?

“The piece provides some food for thought on the subject of man and the cosmos, such as this: Wherever we may be between the stars – we remain social beings, inseparably connected with Mother Earth and the loved ones at home. Cleverly staged, played well. ” –Ruhr News

“The piece faces the existential question: which risks are we willing to embark on for a worthwhile future? What risks are worth taking on? Not only important for young people in puberty. “-Ars Tremonia
