Around the World in 80 Days

by Toby Hulse
Based on the novel by Jules Verne

The story begins with a bank robbery by a mysterious figure. Then we are introduced to Mr. Fogg, honest-looking, well-turned out and with good teeth. He is accompanied by his newly-acquired valet, Mr. Passepartout. Hot in their pursuit is the detective Fix of Scotland Yard, who thinks that Fogg is the man who robbed the bank. This mad-cap adventure quickly moves along on a succession of locomotives, steamers, and hilarity.

Reviews

Toby Hulse takes on telling the story with a minimum of resources and a cast of just three to that most demanding of audiences: young children. Like Mr. Fogg, he pulls it off with style and élan.

- British Theatre Guide

A cast of three actors, all delivering lines with spot-on humor, make the classic tale of Around the World in 80 Days a must see.
