Patrick Burns

Patrick Burns is a four-time Speranza Foundation Lincoln City Fellow and two-time SALT Award winner whose work has been seen off-Broadway, on national tours, and at regional theaters across the United States. His original musical From Foster Care to Fabulous, winner of the Planet Activist Award, has been produced in New York and regionally and has been recognized for its blend of humor, heart, and social impact.

As a music director, arranger, and composer, Patrick has worked with companies including South Coast Repertory, Sierra Repertory Theatre, Florida Repertory Theatre, and Broadway Sacramento. He served as Resident Music Director and Composer at Redhouse Arts Center, where he helped develop new musical work and mentor emerging artists. Patrick has also taught at Adelphi University, St. Mary’s College of California, and at conferences and masterclasses throughout the country. His writing has appeared in The Atlantic, The Chronicle of Social Change, and on stages from the New York Fringe Festival to regional theaters nationwide. www.patrickburns.me
