The Golden Goose
by Charles Way
Dummling, despite his name, is a good-natured boy living in poverty with his mother and brother. One day, he meets the Fairy King, Oberon's descendant. This King and his Queen seek a kind, worthy ruler to save their forest from destruction. They grant Dummling a magical golden goose, which his family tries to take. But, once they touch it, they can't let go and must run to the palace, where their posh mirror-image family resides.
