Mole leaves his spring cleaning behind to explore the riverbank, and makes fast friends with Ratty, who introduces Mole to all sorts of creatures and adventures. They come across Toad, who has an obsession with fast things, who soon gets into trouble. It’s up to Mole, Ratty and the wise old Badger to save him despite the dangers of the Wild Wood.
